Blue Lake collaborates with legendary ambient pioneer and spiritual American mulit-instrumentalist – Laraaji and fellow Copenhagen based sound artist and producers Sofie Birch & Johan Carøe on ‘Sun Arcs’ – Remixes.

Laraaji’s personality shines through as he adds lush keyboard lines, reverberating zithers, topped off with a lead synth line that could scale mountains. The result is a blissed out explorational ride that takes you beyond to an enriched other dimension. Laraaji recalls the track:

“Gentle floating within a joyous celestial featured zither featured multi timbral sound Improvisation” – Laraaji

Sofie Birch & Johan Carøe transform the tactile ‘Green-Yellow Field’, adding new melodies, bass and rhythms that cultivate a newly formed landscape. Speaking of the remix they elaborate:

“Jason’s dynamic and tactile compositions leave space for so many musical ideas to arise, and we immediately heard new melodies and rhythms to extract from the poetic pauses that characterise Jason’s very human and honest sounds. Our remix is a natural extension from the airy ambient energy into something more square and repetitive with a bass and a theme, still honouring the hand played and fragile expression” – Sofie Birch & Johan Carøe

Blue Lake is the musical project of American born, Copenhagen based multidisciplinary artist and musician Jason Dungan.
